PROBLEM : Develop a compelling and visually engaging presentation that effectively communicates Unilever's sustainability message for Unilever’s CEO Alan Jope’s Cannes Lions Festival 2019 presentation (“Creativity Can Help Save the Walruses”).
SOLUTION : The project demanded seamless collaboration across various creative teams: copywriting, animation, and art direction. I had weekly meetings with copywriters ensuring script alignment with key messaging and visual potential. I created rough storyboards, based on key phrases and emphasis points, which I presented for feedback and refinement. This iterative process ensured a clear and impactful narrative.
The next team I needed to collaborate with was with the animators. I supplied detailed final storyboards providing a blueprint for the animators, outlining scene progression and the desired animation style. We had regular reviews and feedback sessions which fostered a collaborative environment, ensuring consistency and delivering the desired visual impact.
The final animation resonated with both Alan Jope and the Cannes Lions audience, effectively conveying Unilever's commitment to sustainability through a visually captivating presentation.
