PROBLEM : I was tasked with creating the look and feel for Unilever’s CEO Alan Jope’s Cannes Lions Festival 2019 presentation (“Creativity Can Help Save the Walruses”), together with overseeing how the presentation would be animated.
SOLUTION : After reviewing the script, I started looking through all of Unilever’s brand assets to see what I had to work with. Section by section, I started creating rough storyboards that brought to life the script as visually as possible, picking up on key words and important points Alan wanted to make. After several rounds of amends and edits to the script, I then started working up the final polished storyboard, ready to hand over to the animators, along with a detailed breakdown for how each scene should be animated. Once the animators had animated a section, they would send to me for review and feedback. I am very proud of the final animated presentation - Alan loved it too, along with all those in attendance at the festival.
