PROBLEM : Skittles wanted to support the LGBT+ community during Pride in London with a meaningful and visually impactful campaign across various digital platforms, symbolising "giving up its rainbow."
SOLUTION : To bring Skittles' vision to life, I was tasked with creating a animation of LGBT+ characters that would feature in a series of social media posts which would be building excitement around the hero film. These characters needed to dance together in a display of unity and celebration on an uncoloured packet of Skittles, symbolising the brand's temporary relinquishment of its iconic rainbow. The completed animation was deployed across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat, where it met with positive reception. The campaign was further supported by additional social media posts centered around the theme of "giving up its rainbow."
The hero film (below), directed by Chris Bristow through Blinkink, featured a series of quirky and memorable scenarios, further amplifying Skittles' message of support and inclusivity during Pride.
